Starter Motor: The starter motor is a four-pole series-connected DC Unit. The starter provides rotational motivation to turn the engine over to begin the combustion process. It is an electric motor that sits between the engine and transmission and connects to the flywheel (manual) or flexplate (automatic).

The Wear And Tear We Should Take Care Of In Starters And Alternators:

Alternators can wear over time and lose their ability to generate current.

• The alternator works using a rotor with magnets attached to it spinning inside a stationary armature.
